I've now walked the page at both widths, tested every interaction, read the source and the brief, and looked at the five references. Here is the critique.

**A. The aesthetic**

Eight flat two-colour poster fields hung in sequence, Polyteia's cobalt, plum, persimmon and tangerine under coarse grain, with a grotesk headline voice that splits into offset colour layers as the one signature move.

**B. The bar: how a top studio would build exactly this as a website**

- **Structure.** Six or seven fields, not eight, each one a single poster with one idea and one image. The wall reads as a sequence of colour moves: cold, cold, dark, warm, warm, pale, hot. Every field earns its colour by what it says.
- **Sequence and scroll.** Fields print in as blocks, not as text wipes. The chrome takes the field's colour, which this page does. Between fields, the grain gradient is the only transition and it never touches type or table cells.
- **Motion.** One signature, the split, used twice, and it is invisible at rest. Everything else is still. A single slow figure may turn. Nothing bounces, fades, or slides for its own sake.
- **Interaction.** The section index is the primary navigation and it is beautiful enough to be a poster strip itself. Hover states are one move each: fill, invert, or split. Nothing vanishes on hover.
- **Type.** One display grotesk at three sizes, one text face at two. Body never drops below 18px on a saturated ground, and dim text stays above 4.5:1 contrast on every field.
- **Colour.** Two colours per surface, strictly. Accent colours appear only as a bar, a number, or a split layer. No third and fourth colour in the same card.
- **Imagery.** Oversized geometry and one duotone portrait that looks intended, with a palette pair chosen so skin reads as colour, not as a grey photograph with a tint.

**C. Ranking by polish and taste, best first**

1. Polyteia posters. Absolute control of two colours per surface, grain used as material, every poster one idea.
2. Meridian editorial. Serif scale, ragged cut-outs and lilac-to-white gradients build a whole world with restraint.
3. Sunrise sage and coral. One circle, one paragraph, one accent; austere and confident.
4. This website. A real system with genuine ideas, let down by a dozen execution slips and colour discipline that loosens after the hero.
5. Hogrene lime and lilac. Clean and competent, but a stock-brand-kit sensibility with nothing risky in it.
6. Optiva green consulting. Team photo hero, stock boardrooms, template grid. Exactly the consulting picture the brief forbids.

**D. The biggest gaps**

Structure and sequence:
- **Eight fields is one too many.** Voices and Questions are both interstitial, and the tangerine and pale lilac fields stall the colour arc between the portrait and the ask. Merge Voices into the Erin field as a second column and let pale lilac go straight into persimmon.
- **The Erin field opens on a void.** At 1440 the headline sits alone with an empty orange block below it until the portrait arrives at the bottom of the grid. Align the figure to the top of the grid and let it walk out at the bottom by margin, not by end-alignment.
- **The Voices field inherits a dead left column.** The quote is indented under the portrait, leaving a third of the width empty for the whole field. Either put the portrait's caption and credentials in that column or drop the indent once the figure has passed.
- **The Start field's right half is empty.** The cut-off word is the only thing there. Put the copy button and note in the right column so the ask reads as two posters side by side.

Interactivity:
- **The rail arrow buttons vanish on hover.** The hover sets background to currentColor after colour has become the ground colour, so the arrow and the button become plum on plum. Set the background to the ink variable explicitly.
- **The chip index sits on top of content.** It overlaps the hero ring panel, the fourth rail card, and the letters of "conversation." Reserve a right gutter of the chip width in the wrap, or hide the index while the pointer is over a field and show it on scroll.
- **Room B collapses into a seven-line headline.** Opening room A narrows B to half a column and the display type wraps to one word per line. Drop B's headline to the small display size while narrowed, or hide it and show only the label.
- **The rail's first card is cut by the page edge and the spine.** Cards start at the left viewport edge under the fixed PRISM spine. Start the rail at the wrap's left padding.
- **FAQ items do not close each other.** Two open at once is fine as a decision, but the design reads as one open at a time because the open item turns accent. Pick one behaviour.

Motion:
- **The split is visible at rest.** The 0.018em resting offset gives "people person." and "Start with" a permanent red and yellow fringe that reads as a rendering fault and hurts legibility. Set the resting offset to zero and let the split exist only under the pointer and on the phone crossing.
- **The rings read as a dartboard turning.** A 44-second rotation of concentric bands with a diagonal slice means nothing for a prism. Replace with a static split disc, or animate the slice offset rather than a rotation.
- **The text wipe reveal is a second reveal language.** Fields already print in as blocks by colour. The clip-path wipe on the wrap adds a horizontal swipe on top. Keep the block, cut the wipe.
- **The spine fill is invisible in practice.** The PRISM letters fill from 20 to 100 percent opacity over 8000px, so no one notices. Either make it the scroll bar with a hard edge and full contrast, or remove it.

Type, colour, imagery, spacing:
- **Dim text fails on the dusk field.** The mauve body on periwinkle in field two and the brown dim text on persimmon in the rooms are under contrast at 19px. Use the ink colour at full strength and reduce size instead.
- **Cards break the two-colour rule.** Card 1 has tangerine, plum, cobalt ink and an orange eyebrow bar. Card 3 has persimmon, pale yellow, cobalt. Every card should be ground plus one shape colour, with type in the ground's partner.
- **The grain bridge runs through the credentials table.** Between Erin and Voices the coarse gradient cuts across the "Based" row, and the table cells float on it as solid orange rectangles. Move the bridge below the table or make the table part of the bridge by giving cells no background.
- **The duotone portrait looks like a tinted grey photo.** The screen-then-multiply stack produces mustard skin and grey shirt on a purple ground. Map shadows to cobalt and highlights to pale yellow directly, or shoot for a cobalt and persimmon pair.
- **The footer restates the hero.** Black field with a one-line summary reads as leftover. Fold it into the Start field as a bottom rule.

The phone view:
- **The bottom index strip works.** The eight colour segments with the live section name is the best element on the phone and should be the source for the desktop version too.
- **The cut-off word survives.** "a conversat" runs off the right edge at 20vw and reads as intended. Good.
- **The Erin field is over 2000px tall.** Six credential rows stacked one per row with 60px each is a scroll desert. Two columns at 390 fit; use them.
- **The rings band under the hero is a stripe of nothing.** A 200px crop of the turning circles shows arcs with no centre. Show the disc whole at 60vw or drop it on the phone.
- **The grain bridge still cuts through the last credential cell.** Same fix as desktop.
- **The room headlines wrap inside the card at a good size,** and the rail swipes with snap. Both fine.

**E. Overdone or templated patterns, each penalised**

- **Rotating concentric rings in the hero.** The generic "abstract motion graphic" hero figure, penalised.
- **Quarter-circle and full-circle blobs on every card and room.** Eight of them across two sections, scaled on hover. It is the Canva shape kit, penalised.
- **Number-plus-label eyebrow on every section.** "01 Retained," "01 Foundations," "01 Diagnostic," "01 Compensation bands." Four numbered lists in eight fields, penalised.
- **The accent underline that draws in on hover under each method step.** Stock reveal, penalised.
- **Three-tab testimonial switcher with placeholder names.** Standard component, penalised lightly since the layout around it is not.
- **The "Drag, swipe or use the arrows" hint line and progress bar.** UI instructions under a carousel is template language, penalised.

**F. Commitment and score**

The page commits hard to the direction in the places that matter: fields not sections, chrome that changes colour, a signature split, a portrait that leaves its field, and a word that runs off the page. Those are five real decisions and two rule breaks, both visible at 390. The half-measures are colour discipline that slips from two colours to four inside the cards, a rest-state split that undercuts the one signature, a grain bridge that ignores what sits on top of it, and a hover state that deletes its own button. The concept and the sequence are at studio level. The execution of type contrast, shape vocabulary and the middle three fields is not there yet, and a director would send it back for one more pass rather than to production.
