**A. The aesthetic.** A fashion-magazine issue for a consulting practice: poster-scale Bodoni broken across lines and cut by hard-edged cut-out portraits, lilac, orange, cream and black, with a masthead, plates, figures and a contents page standing in for a nav.

**B. The bar.** A top studio would build the whole page as one issue, not one cover plus six spreads. The cover collides type and figure the way this one does. Then every spread keeps that language alive with a different device: a portrait breaking a rule line, a quote mark that a headline sits inside, a service list set as a torn-paper plate, a method that reads as a fold-out. The contents overlay is the nav, and the running head in the masthead is the only persistent chrome. Motion is scroll-driven and physical: the cut-out drifts, the panel behind a portrait slides at a different speed, the quote mark lands, section changes flip the masthead like a page turn. Hovers are typographic, not decorative: a word fills from outline to solid, a plate inverts, a number becomes the accent. Type is two families with three sizes, and the small caps appear once per spread, not five times. Color is a system with a rule: one accent, one field, and inversions only at chapter breaks. Imagery is cut-out collage on gradient panels, treated consistently, and every spread gets one. On the phone the collage still collides but no letters vanish, and the masthead keeps the section name.

**C. Ranking, best first.**
1. Meridian editorial. This exact world done with total confidence: type through faces, quote marks as objects, portraits on gradient trapezoids.
2. Polyteia posters. A disciplined palette, data as the image, grain and gradient handled like print.
3. Sunrise sage and coral. One gesture, one dot, ruled lines, immaculate spacing. Small but flawless.
4. This website. A reference-level cover and contents page, then five spreads that drop to competent template.
5. Hogrene lime and lilac. Clean system, generic Nordic grotesk brand kit.
6. Optiva green consulting. Stock team photo, template consulting site, the thing the brief forbids.

**D. The gaps.**

Structure and sequence:
- **Cover** is the only spread where type and image touch. Practice puts the name above the portrait in a plain grid. Voices puts the quote mark above the quotes. Move the name across the portrait and set the first quote inside the mark's counter.
- **Sections 02 through 07** all open the same way: cap label, hairline, uppercase Bodoni, grid. Vary the opener per spread: Work should open on a plate, Method on the fold-out, Voices on a quote already in progress.
- **Work** has no image. Six identical text boxes on black. Give plates 01 and 04 a cut-out or a torn-paper panel from the same family as the contents-page geometry, which currently only exists inside the overlay.
- **Voices hero** is 64vh of flat lilac, two cream disks, and an empty right half. Either pull the first quote up into that space or put the partner cut-out there.
- **Dead space** closes several spreads: about 200px of black under the Work note, about 250px of cream under the Practice figure, about 300px before Contact. Tighten section padding or fill the right column of Practice to the figure's height.

Interactivity:
- **Edition switch** is the best idea on the page and it half-works. The cover line "OR MANAGE" stays orange in the Firms edition while the masthead, the FIRMS word and every accent go lilac. Bind it to the accent variable.
- **Room B** panel is orange under a lilac accent. If inversion is the rule, say it: the FOUNDERS and FIRMS word colors should also swap panel colors, and the cover figure's gradient should invert too.
- **Contents overlay** is excellent: wipe, staggered lines, per-section image filter, big numeral. Nothing on the scroll page references it. Put the same plate treatment on one spread so the overlay is not a private room.
- **Hover states** on lists nudge padding left. Replace with the typographic hovers already used on plates: outline to fill.
- **Questions** has no interaction and calls it printed in full. Acceptable, but the hover that only tints a hairline is not worth having. Either none or a real one.

Motion:
- **Cover** load-in and scroll drift are right: lines rise staggered, headline slides behind the cut-out, figure moves the other way. Keep it.
- **After the cover** almost nothing moves. Three headlines fade up, the method numeral crossfades, the practice band slides. The lilac Voices block just appears. Let the quote mark land or scale on entry and let the Editions panel letter drift like the cover figure.
- **Practice band** is the one scroll effect that misfires. The inverted, multiplied slice reads as a rendering error, not a cut. Make it a hard lilac-to-orange panel that reveals a second crop, no inversion.
- **Rail** drag and arrows work. The progress hairline under it duplicates the counter. Drop one.

Type, color, imagery, spacing:
- **Bodoni Moda plus Space Grotesk** is the right pairing. The body at weight 300 on cream is thin. Use 400.
- **Small caps** appear in at least three sizes and on every spread. Keep one size and use it once per spread.
- **Outline numerals** are used four ways: the Editions words, the Method opener, the Method stack, the six plates. Pick one place.
- **Numbering** is stacked three deep: folio "03", opener "03", step "01", plus roman numerals in lists and questions. Cut the opener numeral where the folio already says it.
- **Cover figure** is the woman from the Meridian reference. It is the same photo. That is a copy, not a direction. Replace with a generated or licensed cut-out that belongs to PRISM.
- **Contents-page geometry** is the best image on the site and is invisible during scrolling.
- **Contact** giant email is strong. The two buttons underneath are default rectangles. Set the primary as type, or as a plate.

Phone:
- **Cover** loses letters. "LEAD, HIRE" reads "LEAD, I" and the A in MANAGE disappears behind the face. Shrink the figure to 45vw or move it below the fourth line so at most one letter is covered.
- **Masthead** drops the section name and keeps only the number. A bare "04" means nothing. Keep the name, drop the issue.
- **Email** breaks as "hello@prismplaceholder." then ".com". Set it two lines on purpose or drop to the small type.
- **"Two engagements at a time"** black bar wraps into four lines with the label floating top right. Stack label under sentence.
- **Footer nav** wraps into two ragged rows. Make it a column or hide it and rely on Index.
- **Work page-turn** buttons and the Editions panel work well at 390 and should stay.

**E. Overdone, templated, or AI-tells.**
- The colophon announcing "Two rules broken on purpose." The page narrates its own brief. Penalized.
- Cover marks "Someone you trust sent you here. This page confirms, it does not sell." That is the brief pasted into the layout. Penalized.
- Dot-separated triads: "Retained · Project · Advisory", "Thirty minutes · No deck · No pitch", six or more times. Penalized.
- Padding-left hover shift on every list row. Penalized.
- Outline numeral as a decoration in four places. Penalized.
- Hamburger bars shrinking to 60 percent on hover. Stock.
- Lilac-to-orange gradient used as a filter over a photo, the brief's words rendered literally. Penalized.

**F. Commitment and score.** The concept is real and the cover, masthead and contents page fully commit: two editions, a running head, a progress rule, an overlay that behaves like a table of contents. That is a design idea, not a template with a background. Then the commitment thins. Five of seven spreads are well-set grids that any editorial template could produce, the edition switch leaves the cover's own accent behind, the only mid-page image effect looks broken, and the hero photo is lifted from the reference the brief said not to copy. The phone view keeps the structure but loses letters where the rule-break is supposed to be visible. Concept and typography are at 8. Structure and sequence, imagery direction and motion are at 6. Interaction is at 7 with one half-wired idea.
